Integrated Marketing Campaigns
Buena DECA is developing the next generation of business owners and managers. We are looking to partner with local businesses that allow students to create real world marketing campaigns that can help see tangible, real results. Student success is driven by a collaboration of working in the classroom with the teacher and working with the business partner to find ways to promote local business. Something expected of our industry partners:
Meet with students in person or video conference to:
Learn about your business.
Help the students understand who the target customer is.
Define the goals of the campaign, how you would measure success, and discuss what a reasonable budget for a 45-day marketing campaign might be.
Meet with the students about halfway through the semester to refine and answer questions about the campaign.
Meet a third time to hear the presention and provide feedback.
Finally, you decide to implement the campaign, provide the data and results for the students to get the real-world results of their efforts. There is no requirement to implement the campaign - but if you do, we'd love to find out what happened!
Since this is a competition, if the students achieved professional results, you would have the option to make a donation to Buena DECA that would help send our students to compete and the state and national levels with their projects.
If you would like to partner with Buena DECA, please email me at william.conroy@svps.k12.az.us so we can find a bright, motived student to work with you on the IMC!
DECA’s Integrated Marketing Campaign Events directly supports Career Clusters®, National Curriculum Standards and 21st Century Skills. DECA’s Integrated Marketing Campaign Events provide an opportunity for the participants to demonstrate promotional knowledge and skills needed by marketing personnel. Participants in the Integrated Marketing Campaign Events will develop an integrated marketing campaign of no more than 45 days in length for a real event, product, or service, and present the campaign in a role-play situation to a prospective client/advertiser.
Integrated Marketing is an approach to creating a unified and seamless experience for consumers to interact with the brand/enterprise; it attempts to meld all aspects of marketing communication such as advertising, sales promotion, public relations, direct marketing, and social media, through their respective mix of tactics, methods, channels, media, and activities, so that all work together as a unified force. It is a process designed to ensure that all messaging and communications strategies are consistent across all channels and are centered on the customer.
